What do you enjoy about working with Certificate Series? I am very passionate about creating a safe space for students to grow as leaders by participating and engaging in diverse conversations outside an academic setting. Through the Certificate Series, I can train students to facilitate these conversations with their peers and create an environment students are comfortable in.

What do you enjoy about working with Certificate Series? What I enjoy most about working with the Cert Series is having an opportunity to serve as a coach and mentor to the next generation of leaders at UConn and beyond. When I was an undergrad I encountered several faculty members who created opportunities for me to grow and develop as a leader, and now I'm fortunate enough to be in a position where I can pay it forward.

Why did you choose to become a facilitator?: I chose to become a workshop facilitator to gain experience working with a variety of people from differing backgrounds. I have met so many amazing people through Cert Series that I would have otherwise never gotten the chance to know. Being a workshop facilitator allows for a creative outlet as each facilitator gets to find their own facilitation style as well as try out new techniques. Through facilitating EIL, Discovery, and Impact Delta, I have developed a wide variety of leadership skills that extend into every aspect of my life.

Why did you choose to become a facilitator?: My participation in the Leadership Certificate Series helped me identify my leadership style, become aware of many leadership theories and skills, and improve in areas of growth. Ultimately, this program expanded my understanding of leadership, and I hope to assist my peers through their unique leadership development journeys. Leadership growth best occurs through a constructive and collaborative environment, which this program has provided me and fellow students, and I hope to provide this space to assist others as they grow their leadership skills and abilities as well.

Why did you choose to become a facilitator?: I absolutely loved being apart of the Leadership Certificate Series Workshops. The workshops provided me the opportunity to enhance my leadership skills and discover who I am as a leader. The workshops also provided me a weekly outlet from my busy school schedule to just relax and meet new people. Therefore, I decided to become a workshop facilitator so I can provide other students the same experience and knowledge the workshops gave me.
