The Student Leadership Challenge

The Student Leadership Challenge is a nine-week, peer-led workshop tailored for current student leaders—whether you're on an executive board, a peer mentor team, or serving as an officer in a student organization. Rooted in Kouzes and Posner’s Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, this program helps you deepen your leadership through reflection, application, and peer-to-peer dialogue.

What You’ll Learn

By participating, student leaders will:

  • Understand and apply the Five Practices—Model the Way, Inspire a Shared Vision, Challenge the Process, Enable Others to Act, and Encourage the Heart—to their real-world leadership roles.
  • Reflect on personal values and align team objectives with a shared vision for their organization.
  • Practice recognizing contributions, fostering collaboration, and motivating others within their leadership circle.
  • Gain skills in creative problem-solving, championing new ideas, and encouraging a positive group culture through the practical application of leadership theory.
